The Haworth Art Gallery
Why not combine your visit to Oswaldtwistle Mills with a trip to The Haworth Art Gallery, home to the largest public collection of ‘Tiffany Glass’ in Europe. The one hundred and forty pieces of highly decorative, gloriously coloured and intricately styled glass in the ‘Art Noveau’ style, were presented to the people of Accrington in 1933 by Joseph Briggs, a former Accrington man who worked with Tiffany in New York for over forty years. The Haworth stands in nine acres of the park with fantastic views of the nearby hills, and is a fine example of a Tudor-style Edwardian house.
