Enjoy a visit to your favourite shopping mill, and then venture back on a nostalgic journey through time on a full size steam train, from Rawtenstall to Bury, following the winding River Irwell, on an 8-mile route, through the scenic Irwell Valley to Bury – remember the sights, sounds, and smells from a bygone era. The journey time is approx. 45 minutes on this most memorable of excursions.
The train operates on Saturday and Sunday throughout the year, plus Bank Holidays - up to six times a day and all Easter weekend. Also from 7th May - 12th September 2008 the train runs mid week on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday - up to four times a day.
N.B. Train times subject to change please re-confirm timings when making a booking. Wheelchairs can access the stations and be carried aboard the train.
