Take a journey into the past when you visit Burnley’s ‘Jewel in the Crown’ - Towneley Hall. Set in 62 acres of parkland this imposing Elizabethan building was the home of the Towneley family from the mid C13th to 1901.
Today this country house is a museum and art gallery all in one, where you can see how the family lived in the original period rooms. All this and exhibitions to view. There is always something that will take your attention, be it glassware, ceramics, militaria, artwork and even Bill, the hall’s resident Himalayan bear.
