Description
Lucy Kathryn Southward is a freelance award winning artist specialising in graphite and coloured pencil sketches from photographs. Lucy was born and raised in Accrington, Lancashire and studied art in college for 3 years.
Her work is emotive and finely detailed, reflecting both the character and the spirit of the subject. She sensitively recreates sketches of people, pets, landscapes, iconic art and poignant pieces.
She has submitted work in 'The Pendle Open Art Exhibition' for the past 5 years, winning an award every time. She will continue to enter her work in the event in the coming years.
Her work has been featured in local and national newspapers and magazines including 'Lancashire Life' who ran a double page feature of her work spotlighting her passion for Laurel and Hardy and her personal connection with Stan Laurel's daughter. Laurel and Hardy prints form a significant part of her portfolio.
Lucy undertakes commissions from the general public.
